Web Search Alerts ownership transfer - 2026-08-27

• Transfer full ownership (#1071): A Web Search Alert owner can now hand an alert over to another active Tools user. The new owner receives full management control and the previous owner loses owner-only access immediately. Existing results, completed run history and Alert audit history stay with the same alert, while an existing delegated notification recipient is preserved unless that recipient becomes the new owner. Transfer waits until pending/running searches finish, rejects destination name conflicts, and requires the destination account to be authorized for the alert's existing interval. The alerts.manage API applies the same owner-scoped rules without granting cross-user management access before the transfer succeeds.
