Sub-processors

Sub-processors

Last updated: 2026-08-28

Tornevall Networks is based in Sweden. This page lists third-party providers that currently process or host customer data on behalf of Tornevall Networks Tools.

Only providers that are in active use are listed here. Planned integrations are not treated as active sub-processors until they are enabled for customer data processing.

Hetzner Online GmbH

Purpose: Hosting and infrastructure provider.

Tornevall Networks uses Hetzner to host the primary ToolsAPI application and customer data. The selected primary hosting location for ToolsAPI is Finland. Hetzner is a German company, but the company location does not change the selected data-center location.

Depending on the Tools feature being used, hosted data may include account and integration settings, operational metadata, encrypted credentials required by enabled integrations, and application data needed to provide the requested service.

OpenAI

Purpose: AI processing provider for AI-powered Tools features, including the Slack AI Bot when an AI response is requested.

Only the text, supported images and other request context needed to perform the requested AI operation are sent for processing. Tornevall Networks does not use Slack customer data to train language models.

LLM processing is subject to the data-location and retention controls available for the configured OpenAI API service. Unless a specific residency configuration is explicitly enabled, Tornevall Networks does not claim that all AI processing remains in Finland, Sweden or a single geographic region.

Planned providers

Microsoft Copilot support is planned for ToolsAPI but is not currently included on this page because it is not yet enabled as a customer-data processing provider for the Slack AI Bot.

Retention and deletion

The current retention and deletion rules are described in the Data retention documentation and Privacy Policy. Slack message content is not intended to be stored as a permanent message archive: transient content used for processing is cleared after terminal processing, while minimum operational metadata may be retained for security, diagnostics, deduplication and applicable audit requirements.

Tools currently provides user-scoped self-service purge controls, a Slack disconnect purge cooldown and account-deletion cleanup as described in the Data retention documentation. Broader scheduled cleanup for additional retained data categories is still under development and is not described here as deployed until it is actually active.

Users and workspace owners can also request access, transfer, purge or deletion of stored personal data through the public contact channels described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to this list

This page is updated when a provider starts or stops processing customer data for ToolsAPI. Material changes are also reflected in the public Tools changelog.
