ToolsAPI Slack AI Bot lets a workspace use the Tools conversational AI directly from Slack. Mention the bot in channels, talk to it in direct messages, keep context inside threads, and configure how it behaves for each workspace.
A Tools account is required to manage an installation. If Slack Bot access has not yet been enabled for your account, sign in and request access first.
The screenshots below show the actual ToolsAPI Slack bot workflow: installation guidance, delivery diagnostics, workspace configuration, threaded Slack replies and a private image-aware conversation.
The Slack workspace is connected to a Tools account so its installation and settings can be managed securely.
If Slack Bot access is not enabled for your Tools account, submit the access request from the Slack Bot page.
Choose "Add to Slack", select the workspace, review the requested permissions and approve the Slack OAuth installation.
Set bot mood, workspace instructions, model options, web search, thread context and optional spontaneous replies.
Slack permissions are requested through Slack OAuth and are used to receive supported conversations, read the context needed for enabled bot features, and post replies as the installed app. Tools does not use Slack data to train language models.
The assistant uses a large language model. Generated answers can occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete, so important output should be reviewed before acting on it.
